Steph Curry was in the house! Last weekend the NBA superstar was seen playing pickup ball at Lifetime Fitness in Folsom. Don’t believe me? Watch him take on the gym goers in this clip from CBS Sacramento. He was also spotted at his daughter’s volleyball tournament in Roseville.
It’s official. The train at Lions Park will have a new owner, and it will stay right where it is! According to the Folsom Times, the City Council approved a resolution on Tuesday that “authorizes the City Manager to execute an Assignment and Assumption Agreement, transitioning the railway’s operations from longtime owner Terry Gold of Golden Spike Entertainment to incoming new owners Truson Buegel and Stephanie Bea Roy….” Lots of Folsomites are breathing a sigh of relief that the iconic train will stay here in our little burg.
An Elk Grove man allegedly stole about $1,300 worth of merchandise from the Folsom Safeway over the weekend. A witness provided a vehicle description and license plate number to Folsom PD. And they nabbed him! According to ABC10 Eric Nels Kephart is facing “one felony and one misdemeanor charge pertaining to officer evasion and a felony grand theft charge related to taking property exceeding $950.”
Hey! Did you know?
I don’t know what’s out there pushing up the daisies, but apparently something is on Catecroft Trail in Cool. According to this article in the Folsom Telegraph, there are “thousands” of them on this trail! If you go, take lots of pictures for me!
If a trail of sips and suds is more your thing, tickets are now available for the 2024 Placer Wine & Ale Trail Sips & Suds Summer – Passport. $45 gets you “access to complimentary tastings or other specials and experiences at participating Placer County Wineries & Breweries” along the Placer Wine & Ale Trail. Apparently “Two Ass Brewing is not open yet.” They better get at least one of their Asses in gear!

Have you heard of the dragon house in the Curtis Park neighborhood of Sacramento? I hadn’t… but why not?? This place is cool! “The side of the building is adorned with a massive mosaic dragon weaving between the windows, and an intensely staring white tiger seems almost ready to pounce.” Even the landscaping is Asian-cool. Check out the pictures in this article from atlasobscura.com, or better yet, go check out the house for yourself!
