Soon, you may be asked to volunteer to plant a tree. On Tuesday, the Folsom City Council declined to extend its partnership with the Sacramento Tree Foundation for city tree preservation services. Instead, they decided to table the discussion while they investigate possible volunteer tree planting programs to help defray some of the cost. (Folsom Telegraph)
Rowers from Capital Crew headed to Boston last week for the Head of the Charles Regatta, and they represented our Lake Natoma very well! According to the Folsom Times “The Head Of The Charles Regatta is the world’s largest 3-day rowing competition attracting 400,000 spectators,11,000 competitors from 26 counties and 2,400 volunteers.” Our Youth Men’s Four came in a respectable 20th, with an invitation to return next year, and Capital Crew’s Youth Women’s Eight finished 17th with an invitation to next year’s Regatta. Congrats to all!
