The Folsom Zoo Sanctuary has another new bear! They welcomed Herbie in March and now his companion from his last facility has come to join him here! There’s just one problem. Herbie’s companion doesn’t have a name! The Friends of the Folsom Zoo Sanctuary are challenging you to name her. According to CBS News “for a minimum donation of $5, people can vote for either Matilda, Petunia or Magnolia as the bear's name.”
The Battle of the Badges Blood Drive is over and Team Liberty has, once again, taken the crown. Liberty is the therapy dog for the Folsom Police Department. Today is Adopt A Pet Day in Sacramento County! All adoptions at Bradshaw Animal Shelter will be fully sponsored, meaning zero adoption fees. Here’s a fact from Sacramento County News that got me: “If just 6% more people chose to adopt from shelters instead of buying from breeders or pet stores, shelters across the country would be empty [and] (e)very animal would have a home.” Good to know.
