Police Chief Hillman officially hangs up his badge tomorrow. The Folsom Times has a nice article on his career and his humanity. Check it out! Here’s a taste: “My entire family lives in Folsom. My kids live in Folsom. They’re all married. They have kids. I have eight grandkids. We actually all live in the same neighborhood. So we’re over at each other’s houses all the time,” Hillman shared. “That’s going to keep me busy and continue to keep me busy because it already has, just doing all the stuff that we do as grandparents and parents.”
Out with the old; in with the new! Four new Police Academy graduates are joining the ranks of the Folsom Police Department! Per the Folsom Police Department Facebook page, “We’re proud to welcome Officers Akopyan, Sanner, Hatada, and Bishop to the Folsom Police Department!”
We have another local chef that will take his place in the lineup to cook for the Tower Bridge Dinner in Sacramento. Devin Dedier of Vacanza Romana in El Dorado Hills Town Center will join chef Bucky Bray with Nixtaco Folsom to feed 880 hungry dignitaries and lucky lottery winners at the Farm to Fork extravaganza on the Tower Bridge in September. “As for what’s on the menu at the Sept. 7 Tower Bridge Dinner, Dedier’s lips are sealed but he did share that the cuisine will focus on the cultures that made California what it is today,” according to Village Life.
Hey! Did you know?
