How’s the state of the city? Pretty darn good! At the end of his State of the City address, Mayor Koslowski shared that Samsung Semi is opening a brand new office here in Folsom. According to the Folsom Times “Koslowski shared that the facility will, “contain an (sic) research and development (R&D) hub like no other,” featuring an Advanced Compute Lab and an Advanced Controller Development team.” And they’re hiring! “Interested applicants can learn more here and here.”
A local Folsom man has earned his place in the National Blood Donation Hall of Fame! According to the Folsom Telegraph, Scott MacGregor has donated more than 260 times. MacGregor credits his daughter Terrin, who needed a bone marrow transplant 10 years ago, with sparking his interest in blood donation. And what an interest it has been!
Our mighty Bulldogs celebrated their state championship in Historic Folsom on Wednesday. Despite the drizzle, dignitaries from the city and from the school district came out to honor them. Watch as Del Rodgers of KCRA3 interviews a very well-spoken defensive lineman and a grateful head coach.

Do you know an older adult or someone with limited income that needs help with their taxes? Send ‘em to the library. AARP Foundation is offering tax preparation assistance at the Folsom Public Library. “Assistance is by appointment only on Mondays from February 5 – April 8.”
