Our Folsom Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) was out at the State Capitol on Tuesday providing support at FIRE OPS 101 “offering politicians a firsthand experience of firefighting.” According to the Folsom Fire Facebook page. These guys are all volunteers and they’re all heart!
Marketing firm Ross-Campbell is setting up shop in Historic Folsom. As the president of the firm steps into retirement, Vice President Shawn Campbell is bringing his company home. Campbell has been a Folsom resident for the past 26 years, according to the Folsom Telegraph. "The commute will certainly be shorter,” said Campbell. "Plus, being on Sutter Street in Historic Folsom, with its many restaurants and stores, has appeal to our staff and clients."
The City of Folsom has released its financial statements for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024. Roseville Today has a link for the final, audited statements. According to the Folsom Times, “the city’s total assets and deferred outflows exceeded liabilities and deferred inflows, resulting in a net position of $655.9 million—an 11% increase over the previous year, according to the report.” The Times also noted that “city’s unemployment rate stood at 3.8%, significantly lower than the state average of 5.2%.”
